Day 61 : Phew

Today's the last working day in January, which also means the last day of the Barcelona contest. Feeling so happy and relieved at the same time. 

The final result hasn't been announced yet, but I think I can make it to the big 4. Yayy... Barcelona, here I come.... ^^

Tonight my supervisor treated us a Japanese dinner at Sushi Tei. 

Every success deserves a celebration, and the fact that today's friday, it doubles up the joy.

Day 60 : Positive Attitude

This morning, my eyes caught a very meaningful illustrations from Indonesian famous motivator, and the story is about himself.

I silently pray to God, for Him to always lead my way whenever the road seems uncertain, to light my world whenever life gets dark, to give me courage whenever I feel afraid, to give me confidence whenever I feel like giving up. And to give me faith whenever I feel weak. Last but not least, to teach me to always be grateful for whatever conditions life throws me in.

I believe life is about ups and downs. And there's no storm lasts forever. I hope that I will possess positive attitude wherever I go.

Day 59 : Hello From My New Toy

A hello from my new gadget.
I am finally an iPhone user. After a few consideration, I finally switch to using iPhone 6 instead of Sony Xperia Z3. A strong influence from a few friends, and a cheaper price since I bought it from a friend who just got back from KL. Just finished downloading a few important apps and synced it with the iCloud. I love it. A new toy to embrace the year of the goat. I'm happy! :)

Day 58 : Funny Conversation

A funny conversation in the middle of buying coffee at a coffee shop while waiting at a hospital between my friend and the assistant:

S: Hi sir, what coffee do you want?
V: Caramel Macchiatto
S: What size do you want?
V: Medium one
S: OK 1 grande. Hot or cold?
V: Cold
S: Do you want whip cream?
V: What is that?
S: That's the white cream foam on top of your coffee.
V: Oh, no I don't want.
S: Here's your drink.
V: Thank you *taking pictures from many angles* Lol

Day 57: Power of a Prayer

Best thing of the day:

Having 'me' time at my fave spot in my room,  reading this new book about a Moslem traveler, got her wish fulfilled to travel around Europe while finishing her study in Holland, which she got from the scholarship.

It was all began when she sold her only property, to pay for her and her father pilgrimage journey. During this time, she prayed to Allah to be given miracles to be able to study in Holland so that she can traveling around Europe. Obviously, God listened to her prayer. Her scholarship application was approved and that was how the journey began.

Just like what my friend told me today,

"Kita tidak akan pernah tahu usaha keberapa yang akan berhasil, seperti kita tidak tahu doa mana yang akan dikabulkan.Keduanya perbanyaklah."

What a wise advise it is.

Afterall, I always believe the power of a prayer.

By reading this book, I am so looking forward to visiting another part of the Europe continent.

One day. I will. *pray* :)

Day 56: Sundae Sunday

I just bought a new pinkish red case for my phone. Loving the color. Actually I was confused to choose between red or yellow, but then I chose red, because yellow is just too bright.
Later on, I watched "Seventh Son" in the evening. A nice movie about the seventh son destroying a witch, Mother Malkin, which is starred by Julianne Moore. An entertaining movie and a remarkable scenes by the newbie actor, Ben Barnes. :)

Day 55: Have Fun Go Mad

Spent the whole day hanging out wih friends. A day full of laughters and sharing foods part. We like to share foods, especially desserts.
By sharing foods, not only do we sharing fats, but also happiness and togetherness. Lol
Afterall, life is good when it is shared. Sharing is caring, isn't it? 😄

Day 53: Hello From Xperia

This evening tried a new restaurant, a new roof top dining experience in town. I like it. Will probably come again next time. ^_^
And today I finally decided to buy Xperia X3 after a few consideration. It was quite confusing since it is quite different with my previous phone. But I hope I can master it very soon. :)

Day 52 : Confusion

I am confused about which cellphone I am about to buy.
Should I buy Mi4 / G3 / Z3 / Ip6?
Too many options are really confusing sometimes.
Tonight I met my family during my grandma's birthday dinner.
Many of my cousins recommend me to buy Mi4. Not only is it cheaper, but the specs are way higher than average phone.
Still thinking now....Let's just see which phone I am about to buy. Hmmm :)

Day 51: Party for Five

I lost my Note3 todayyy..... :(
So saddd, it means I have to buy another cellphone which means another cost for me.
I hope by losing my handphone, means the lost of anything bad in my life, and a beginning of something new.
The best thing is, I still managed to eat green tea ice cream with my other 4 friends. :)

Day 50 : Christstollen for Tea Time

I am happy to discover that there's a bread called Christmas Stollen. It is a fruit cake containing dried fruits and often marzipan and covered with icing sugar, a traditional German cake and usually eaten during the Christmas season. 

Although christmas season has passed by, but by eating this cake, the joy of Christmas remains. :D

Day 49 : Local Tourist

Hal paling menarik yang terjadi hari ini adalah aku jalan-jalan keliling kota Surabaya naik minivan lengkap dengan sopir pribadi. Hal inilah yang menjadikanku turis di kota sendiri. Interesting. :)

Perjalanan bermula dari mengantarkan 3 orang tamuku untuk pijat di salah satu tempat pijat di jalan Sulawesi. Aku tidak ikutan pijat karena therapist udah fully booked. Sial! Padahal masih pagi banget. Tapi ngga papa lah karena masih banyak sekali kesempatan lain. *menghibur diri sendiri* hihihihi

Sambil menunggu para tamu selesai pijat, perjalanan kulanjutkan ke TP hanya untuk membeli buku dan 1 gelas stabucks. Setelah hampir 1.5 jam, kitapun menjemput kembali para tamu. 

Tibalah waktu untuk makan siang. Simpang siur ide2 untuk memilih mau makan apa. Mau makan chinese food, di HK pasti lebih enak2. Mau makan masakan Indonesia, ada salah satu tamu yang sakit. Mau makan aja kok susahh yaa...hmm...tough decision!

Setelah melalui pertimbangan yang berubah-rubah, akhirnya kita pergi ke GM untuk makan sup sirip ikan hiu. Mendadak hepi karena mau makan mahal. Hahahahaha

Setelah makan siang, kita jalan2 sebentar ke supermarket, karena ada salah satu tamu mau liat2 supermarket. Dia demen banget ke supermarket. By then I remember kalo pernah baca somewhere bahwa kalo kita mau tau budaya dan ciri khas suatu negara, we have to visit their supermarket. Make sense!

Well..setelah puas ke supermarket, kita lanjut ke Pasar Atom sampai sore. 

Makan malam kita lanjutkan untuk makan kepiting di daerah Barat. Surprisingly, 1 kepiting untuk 1 orang. Woww! 

Alhasil, kira pulang dengan level kekenyangan maksimal.

Batal deh dietku. Well...diet always starts tomorrow. It's nothing new. Lol

Besok sudahh hari senin lagi lho. I hope it's gonna be a good day. Say no to monday blues! See you soon! :)

Day 48 : Cousin Dinda

Today's my cousin's engagement day.

Congrats to Steve and Dinda. And for Steve, welcome to the family! :)

Meeting a lot of my families at the party. My family from Hong Kong also came. And tomorrow, we will take them to exploring Surabaya culinaries. Hopefully won't get them stomachache. But, first thing in the morning, will take them for foot massage. Yay! 

I am now recalling Kenny G's "Loving You" song on my head. I played this song back then, and there's this song at tonight's party. I think I'm gonna download it soon..

Day 47 : Playful Friday

It's been a playful friday. 

Quite hectic in the morning because of the tight audit. 

Later on, having lunchdate with my ex office mate at a new restaurant in town serving good tenderloin steak. 

In the evening, hangout with my office best buddies celebrating Grace's birthday that has been long postponed. 

We wore the same T-shirt. Looked like children from the orphanage. Lol.

It's been a great friday, afterall. Having fun all day long, but still got a business deal at the office. There's nothing more I could asked for more for today. 

Alright buddies...I get to sleep now.

Tomorrow's my cousin's big day. 

It's gonna be a great day.

Day 46 : Busy Thursday

After a long due, I finally managed to claim for my car insurance. So relieved! 

In the evening, I accompanied Mom looking for party jewelleries for my cousin's this coming saturday. 

I am so excited and can't wait to seeing her soon.

Growing up together all this while, still can't believe that her big day would come this fast.

I wonder whether she's being fast or is it just me being so slow. Lol

Alright then. I gotta sleep the 8 hour beauty sleep to look good on her wedding.

Day 45 : Lucky Day•Lucky Me

Started to getting back on track today. 

Feeling much better than yesterday.

A customer came to the office today, and directly got a business deal.

Later on, visited a client also got another deal. What a lucky day! 

Meeting my ex boss at her office this afternoon. Feeling kinda nostalgic with her. Chatted for around an hour then getting back to the office to finishing small tasks before going home. 

I was feeling happy and content. :D 

Another good news is...I finally got my refund back from Ebay. 

Last time I bought a stuff from Ebay and it was broken, so I returned the stuff back. It took 2 months to finally receiving the funds. The wait is finally over now! Yayy..

Alright then...I need a good sleep now to end up a good day. Good night, buddies! :)

Day 44 : Lazy Tuesday

Still feeling unfit due to this terrible flu, but I managed to work the whole day.

I need a lot of energy for now.Hopefully tomorrow will be much fitter. 

The enjoyable moment of the day was watching korean drama, "Ruby Ring", accompanied with a bowlful of watermelon and a glass of orange juice.

Hmm... So fresh and so healthy. Love it!

Day 43 : Rest Day

I got a very terrible flu and headache this morning and thus I took a sick leave today. I missed having new year's dinner with office buddies. Huaaaa T.T

However, the best part of the day is now...Still being able to browsing and writing this blog up. 

I still remember when I got sick, I got to lay down on the bed the whole day and can't do anything beside sleeping.

So, this is still considered good.

Hopefully I will feel much better by tomorrow.

Day 42 : Indulging Sunday

Today was a total indulgence for me.

Starting the day with having a nice hairspa and manicure pedicure, then going to Pasar Atom for having lunch at a meatball stall. In the evening accompany Mommy going for a massage just before I went out for dinner with an old friend, her husband and brother. 

Such an unusual setting, going out with her. It's been ages since the last time we met and we barely even talk to each other. I thought the situation would be boring. However, it turned out to be a nice dinner with a flowing conversation.

I asked the story of how they two met. And here's their unique story:

SP: How did you two meet?

ST: It was a long story. He saw me first at a party and he asked his cousin to introduce him to me. However, we were 8 years apart. His cousin told him that I was a kid. No kidding. Lol

SP: Lol. And then...how?

ST: Maybe a year or two after that party. He saw me again at a cafe. He introduced himself to me that time and asked for my phone number. And that was how we finally dated not long after.

SP: Wow. So romantic. I think that's so called love at the first sight.

ST: Not for me. But I don't know how is it for him. *elbowing his husband* and his husband nodded that yes it was love at the first sight. 

SP: It's so true a proverb that "Kalau jodoh tak lari kemana". Maybe it doesn't work at the first attempt, but when the time is right, things will finally fall into places.

ST & Husband : Yes, I agree. 

Such a sweet story, isn't it?

I wish my story would be as sweet as theirs.

Day 41 : Oh La La Night

Attended a friend's wedding and then continuing the night to chil at Shangrila lounge. It was just me and my friend, Grace, since many of my friends couldn't find parking spots, so they moved to Ciputra World.

We were already feel cozy at the sofa, so we stayed at Shangrila instead of following them to CW.

We asked for wifi password, requested songs, read magazine, asked for additional hot water to refill the tea, etc. We chatted for hours, while ordering only a cup of tea and a glass of juice. I think the waiter already got sick of us. Lol 

Overall, it was a fun night. It doesn't take a lot of people to make a great night. Sometimes, it just takes 2 to tango.

Day 40 : Friday I'm In Love

It had been a great friday. Laughed a lot in the morning for some ridiculous video I made at the office. In the afternoon, went to Ps. Atom and visited a client nearby. At night, accompanied a friend to go shopping. I bought a batik top and a book. ^^ Today was just a perfect friday. 

Life is good to me.

Day 38 : I Love SF

Today's working hour felt short. I visited a client in the afternoon and then having lunch at a mall and tried Kurtos, the hungarian snack which is also known as chimney cake. It's called chimney because it looks like one. It is made from sweet, yeast dough, in which a strip is spun and then wrapped around in truncated cone-shaped baking spit, and rolled in granulated sugar. It is baked above charcoal cinder while lubricated in melted butter. The surface of the cake can be topped with many toppings. 

I bought the one topped with chicken floss. It tastes similar like chicken floss bread, only with a hint of cinnamon. 

I like it, but I still prefer chicken floss bread comparing to this. 

In the evening, I got a present from Mom. She bought me a Ferragamo bag, black "Mini Sookie" leather satchel. Yayyyy *hulahuladance

Been dreaming to own this brand and I finally own it now..Happyy to bits.

Day 37 : Tuesday with Silva

Today was just another happy day.

Acccompanied Mom to groceries shopping right after work. 

And I was happy for the good news from the email regarding the position of the Barcelona contest rank, that I am now hold the first rank over all personal bankers in Indonesia. It is indeed an achievement for me as never crossed my mind that I would have such ability to be the number one in the competition.

I still feel lack in so many things, somehow. But, I think that I am blessed with so many unpredictable things all this while, and I believe luck is always be by my side.

For now, the result is not yet a final, as I still have 1 month to go. However, I hope I have everything I need to win the battle. Wish me luckk! :)

Day 36 : Crowded Belt

Joined 2 classes today at the gym, pilates and belly dance. I was curious about the belly dance, what kind of dance it is and how to do it. 

So, I joined the class right after the pilates class was done. 

This dance is funny and uplifting. We have to wear a sort of belt around the waist and a pashmina to enhance the dance movement.The belt has a combinations of beads, coins, and fringe. The point is to make it shakeable. Lol.

I were not agile enough doing this dance. Maybe seemed very strange that my boss initiated to took a video of me doing this dance and posted it on instagram. Very embarassing! 

I looked at it after the class was over, and YES I looked very ridiculous doing this dance. Lol! 

What a dance and what an experience! Hahahaha

Day 35 : Black and White Baby

I used to have 2 pair of shoes I love very much, that I always wear them almost anytime, both for travel or just for casual hangout. They both have the same color, which is a combination of black and white, and they both already retired because I tortured them a lot. Lol! 

Last time I was thinking to find another pair for replacement, but haven't found the right pair yet.

Today, when I went for a window shopping, and not planning to do any shopping at all, I found this pair of shoes. They caught my attention from the first glance. So, I asked for the size, and had them tried on my feet.

Voila! They are light and comfortable.

Yayy...I finally found the right pair of shoes for replacement. And the best deal of all, they are on SALE. *big grin

There's a saying that a pair of good shoes will bring us to beautiful places. 

I wish this pretty pair will take me to a wondrous journey that I have never imagined before. :)

Day 34 : Happy Weekend

Hang out at a new spot in town. It's Libreria, a library cafe next to a bookstore.

I was skeptical about this cafe firstly, but it turned out to be a nice place. 

Not only is the hotdog nice, but the books are also interesting as many of them are imported books. 

Therefore, 4 hours at the cafe felt short and fun. 

I will definitely make a come back.

Day 33 : NYR

Today's the second day of 2015. 

Off from work earlier and watched "Supernova". Been curious about the book, and now since I already watched the movie, there's no more curiosity about it. It's just not my kind of movie. 

I just made my new year's resolutions.

Unlike the previous years that I always made a long lists of resolutions, this year I decide to make it short.

This year I decide : 

-To be more diligent in everything I do.

-To be more thankful and grateful

-To be helpful to those in needs

-To do new things and visit new places

-Surround myself with positive people.

Day 32 : Something New

Happy new year 2015!

Wishing everyone a wonderful 365 days ahead! 

So..how did you spend your first day? I spent this first day of the year by having buffet brunch and then just hanging around the mall with parents. 

And best deal of the day was that Mom bought me 3 new Pandora charms today, although she doesn't really like this Pandora things. Hahaha
