Day 31 : Thank you 2014

Today is the last day of 2014. 

It's been a wonderful ride, this year.

Too wonderful, that even on the last day of 2014, I still receiving many presents from Japan. Look how cute they are, aren't they?! 

And as much as I love 2014, I have to let it go at this point and welcoming 2015, which is hoped to be a year full of blessings, love, lucks, and happiness.

Thank you, Life, for all the experiences you taught me this year. I am so grateful for all I have seen, done, and learned. 

And for 2015, please be magical to me!

Day 30 : Work Life Balance

Got up very early by 5.30 am today, since I had an appointment with a client at 9.30 in Malang. It took 2 hours to Malang. Overall, it was a 9-hour journey in total. Very tiringg yet funn...After the deal been wrapped, we hopped a while to Hotel Tugu to check out the site. Been in my bucket list for a while, and now I made it. Yayy! We had bakso bakar Trowulan for lunch just before going back home. It was soo good!

On our way back, I heard the news that Air Asia QZ8501 had been found in Pangkakan Bun in form of debris, and 6 of the victims already been evacuated. The media said it was 95% assured that it is AAQZ8501.

I feell so sad..Although there's none of family related with the tragedy, but I am truly in the deepest condolences for all the passengers, crews, families, friends affected. May each of everyone be given strength and comfort. My prayers are with you all. Be strong!

Day 29 : Presents

I got two presents today.

One from a colleague and one from an old friend. 

I also gave a birthday present to a friend who just got her birthday yesterday at the same time.

Shocking news of the day!

Air Asia' Passengers for Surabaya-Singapore destination are confirmed LOST with no traces. 

There's still no news updates up until now.

I'm so sad hearing the newss. Hoping for all the best for all the passengers and looking forward to hearing the good news soon. 

There must be a good thing to cover up the bad thing. Andd 

The best thing of the day was looking after my auntie's cake shop and eating my favorite snacks while having chitchat with my grandma. It's just grandma-grand daughter bonding day! ^^

Day 27 : Saturday Movie Night

Akhirnya nonton juga film Merry Riana, "Mimpi Sejuta Dolar". Sebelumnya sih sudah pernah baca bukunya, yang merupakan salah satu cerita yang sangat menginspirasiku. Oleh karena itu, begitu tau kalo akan difilmkan, aku sangat senang dan looking forward to watch it.

Overall, buku dan film'nya aga beda. I like the book better than the movie. Cuma overall, movie'nya sih cukup menghibur. Sangat pas untuk tontotan weekend yang cuacanya mendung campuran hujan rintik-rintik. Apalagi didukung dengan akting aktor dan aktisnya yang cakep dan menarik. 

Ada satu kalimat dari Ibu Merry yang sangat aku suka di film ini ketika Merry hampir putus asa dan merasa bahwa apa yang dikerjakannya selalu gagal. 

"Kamu telah memilih jalan hidupmu, dan kamu harus menyelesaikan apa yang telah kamu mulai". 

Kalimat ini mengingatkanku untuk selalu mengerjakan sesuatu dengan sepenuh hati dan sampai tuntas, karena segala sesuatu yang setengah-setengah hasilnya pun tidak akan maksimal. 

Benar-benar film yang menginspirasi. 

Such an inspiring lady MR is. 

Sangat berharap kehidupanku pun bisa penuh kesuksesan dan keajaiban seperti MR.

Day 26 : Day Dreaming

Today's been slow and cold. Raining the whole day, making me feel sleepy. 

Got my facial treatment today. I feel so ready to greet the new year. 

Just browsed a lot of holiday pictures, and I really like this picture of me taken in a garden in Amsterdam. 

I remember how laidback Amsterdam is. I just love the city and the foods, not forgeting that the language is actually quite similar to our language since many vocabularies are just the same to ours, which makes the city seems friendlier compared to other cities in Europe.

I remember my friend once taken me to red light district. Looking so many women inside the many transparent glass cubicles along the street, and I was told there are 3 areas in the street, which differentiate the types of the women. It was new and shocking. Never came accross my mind that this kind of job can be the source of living too. 

Well..I stayed only for 2 nights last time in Amsterdam. I wish I would get the chance to visiting this city again, in longer time and of course not forgeting to visit a friend whose living in Eindhoven.

Day 25 : Merry Kurisumasu

Merry Kurisumasu, everyone! 

It's time to be merryyy. I hope all of you guys have a very merry Christmas. 

I got the day started by having lunch together with my family at our favorite restaurant serving salted chicken and steamed fish as their specialties, which was then continued with a little shopping. There's something for everyone, and we went home with a big smile. 

A moment later, I went movie-marathon-ing watching "Night at the Museum" and "Paddington Bear". Such enlightening yet funny movies, just the type of movies I like.

Another happy thing of the day was when 2 of my friends who're on holiday texting me saying "I got you something". Yayy...presents for new year! It's good to be given presents, but it's even better to be remembered. Feeling so thankful for having such caring friends. The feeling is just priceless! :)

Day 24 : Christmas Eve

Last time I bought online a cute printed tee and it just came today. So, it feels like got a Christmas present just in time. Yayyy I got myself a lot of myself this month. December has always been a time to splurge, so gotta save moree in January. *crossingfingers. 

Today's been light. Office hour ended earlier at 4 pm. I like to go to church on Christmas eve, but this year I can't make it. So instead of going to church, I treat myself an hour of foot massage. It feels relaxing. 

Alright then, gotta sleep now and I just can't wait to open my eyes on Christmas :)

Day 23 : Christmas Celebration

One of the most awaited moment in December finally came. A time to gather with super old friends. Been friends with them for half of my age, thus it feels like hanging around with my second family. 

I got organizer from the present exchange. I was just thinking to buy an organizer for 2015 but now I don't need to buy at all. I can save. Yippie! :) 

Alright then. I gotta sleep. It's been a longg day that ended up nicely. Good dinner and great companion have made a fabulous day. I couldn't ask for more! :)

Day 22 : Mom's Day

The best thing about today was Nat's birthday party celebration. Not only am I happy because of the free dinner, but it's more because of the gathering itself. We only get to meet around 4 times a year, thus it was a good thing to be in each other's companion tonight.

Alright then. Gotta stopp...am so tiredddd...tomorrow have to wake up very early since I have to accompany a client for a medical purpose.

Day 21: XX

Last time I de-cluttered unimportant things inside my room, and I already given up my old dolls. There's this certain good feeling of throwing up old stuffs and replacing a room with the new ones. There's a saying that the thing that will never be changed is the changes itself, so it's not a bad thing to change stuffs every once in a while as long as it is needed. It's similar to throwing out bad memories and replacing it the the better ones. Girls out there...Agree with me?! Yes?! :D

And...the best part about today was the family dinner and of course this huge lips pillow as my new sleeping companion. It's love at the first sight! :D

Day 20: Costume Party

I just had my haircut today, and the special thing about this is the fact that it was cut by another hairdresser, remembering that I always have my haircut by the same hairdresser over and over again for years, that I already forget for how long it has exactly been going. 

So, basically it is a new thing and I love it. :) 

Another good thing about today is my office's annual appreciation night with the theme 'Movie Night', so each of was dressing up like movie stars, super heroes or even cartoon characters, but not less who dressing up like nobody but still looked fun. It's such a great night having a party like this. 

It feels good to dress up like Minnie Mouse today. Feels like in the middle of the happiest place on earth, Disneyland!  Hahaha #Iwish

Day 19: Oh Friday Yes!

Hari ini menyenangkan sekali. 

Habis setengah hari perjalanan pp, Surabaya-Pasuruan untuk visit seorang client, dilanjutkan dengan acara kuliner. Ada peribahasa "Sambil menyelam minum air". I always love the idea of having fun in the middle of working.

I don't know whether it is good or bad karena ada teman yang notice kalo aku selalu aja jalan2 sehabis mendapatkan suatu deal. 

I think everything should be balance. So, after a hard work, we should indulge ourselves with something nice. Agree with me? Yes?! :)

Tomorrow is the most awaited day of the week. It's gonna be appreciation night event di kantorku, yang mengharuskan semua staff untuk memakai kostum dengan tema "Hollywood Stars". I bet it's gonna be so much funn..Can't wait to meet the stars. Stay tune! :)

Day 18: Car Routine Service

Best thing of the day is getting my car serviced. It all shiny and smooth now. 

and it looks pretty new, especially after have it total polished..

Since the garage and my office is just a few blocks away, I decided to just walk to the office. It feels like walking the Orchard of Surabaya. Lol...I wish it really is ORCHARD! :)

Day 17: Morning Booster

Got the day started with a hot cup of Starbucks' Asian Dolce Latte and felt like I can get through the day under my feet. And Yes, things happened under control today. Can't be more thankful for it. 

Everywhere is now beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Christmas trees in almost every cafe, Snowman at many corners inside the malls, Christmas ornaments, Christmas promotions, et cetera. The heart indeed gets warmer when it comes to December. I wish December got more than 31 calendar days so that the more the days got, the merrier the heart can possibly be. ^^

Day 16: Books & Stuffs

This morning accompanied a client to get his medical check up at a clinic. Later on, I went to the nearest bookstore to buy some books since there's no more books left to read. Buying these 2 books and I am now in the middle of reading "The Simple Life". A nice book written by Desy Anwar, one of my favorite writer.  A nice book about pursuing a simple life.

She said if there's one thing we're good at in this life, is making things complicated! It is as if the only way we know we're alive, is to worry about it. We worry about the past, about the future, about what other people think, about what other people don't think, about the things that happen and those that are not happening. We clutter out mind and our surrounding with too many thoughts and too many objects. We are constantly on the move, like a spinning top that is afraid to stop, because stopping means falling down. And we are afraid of falling, because it means letting go. 

A nice book it is. Gotta speed reading it 'til the last page. 

Another good thing happened when a package coming to my office. It is boarding pass look alike for my Samsung Note 3 phone case, which I ordered online. I choose Japan because it's gonna be my next holiday destination next year. Hopefully everything works smoothly.

Day 15: Leaner Me...Happier Me

Been a while haven't weighed myself, and tonight my eyes were mesmerized and feeling touched looking at the scale that I just lost 4 pounds. Yess!

Day 14: Colorful Life

The best part of the day was buying this colorful stationaries. The last time buying these kind of stuffs was when in college as I remember, so it's kinda feel nostalgic. 

Another good part was watching "Before I Go to Sleep", thrilling yet mysterious, not my kind of movie. However am so glad that I managed to watch a movie this week. 

Another good news is about my uniforms. I'm gonna wear new uniforms starting tomorrow on, which means there would be no more bad uniforms day. Hoorayyy!

So many good things happened lately.

Day 11: Pan.Do.Ra

Just bought a fancy present for myself. It's a Pandora bracelet, a Danish fine jewellery brand. Been wanting it since years ago, and now I own it. It's a bit pricey but I finally decided to buy it as a reward for my hardwork and as a reminder that miracles can happen, no matter how skeptical we are toward things. 

Pandora is famous for its story telling bracelet. Every charm has its own story. Therefore, I am inspired to add a charm for every important event that's gonna happen in my life or a new place that I am about to travel. So, it's gonna be a bracelet of memories eventually.

For a start up charms, I choose 4 charms and a clip. Here's the meaning of each of them:

-A clover: Symbolize lucks. I wish to always posses lucks everywhere I go.
-A snowman: It symbolize that I bought this initial Pandora on December, my lucky month in 2014.
-Pandora shopping bag: It means a present for myself.
-A flower: It's a wish to see beauty everywhere I go.
-Blue murano glass: One of my fave and lucky color.

This cute little thing brings a big smile on my face tonight. So glad that I finally bought it.
Life is beautiful and I think I deserve a little celebration every once in a while.

Day 10: Good Hair Day

I believe that everything happens for a reason. If we don't get what we want right now, then there must be something better for us to pursue. It happened to me at my job. 

I was about to visit a client in the morning, however due to several problems, it was dued until the evening. Different time made different ideas and point of view. If only I made it to visit the client in the morning, then the story wouldn't be better than it is right now.

So, if we don't get it what we want right now, just sit down and pray 'cos God is thinking of something better to give us.

Good thing of the day was having my hair washed at the salon during office hour :)

Day 7: Christmas Nail Art

Day 6: Family Gathering Day

We recalled a joke during family gathering today:

Once upon a time, my auntie got half of the Bakcang (chinese glutinous rice) tester from an acquaintance. 

A: Ok. Give me 5 bakcang.

The next day:

S: Here's your bakcang.

A: I ordered 5. Why only 4.5 inside?

S: I already gave you the half for the tester, remember?

Another story from another auntie who bought meatballs, and asked for additional soup. 

A: Mam, I bought lot of meatballs. Give me more soup

S: Sorry. You can't have additional soup. The soup is made using Aqua.

People can be just amusingly weird sometimes, which diversify and create more colors into the world.

This is also another reason to love life more, for life itself sometimes can be surprising, weird, and unpredictable.

The best part of today was the family gathering and the girls night out at a Kopitiam.

Day 5: Early Christmas Present

Today had been a very hectic day. Off to Pasuruan at 730 am, and got back by 1 pm, then continued going  to a bazaar with a friend at TP. I hadn't ate anything at all yet by this time. 

I And I finally bought this early Christmas present for myself! 

Lately has been working extra mile, so I deserve a little reward at the end of the week. It just feels rewarding.

Later on I got back to the office and finishing all my tasks as quick as possible, since I got to go by 5 pm sharp to catch up a birthday party.

And...the birthday party was the best part of the day. It was my best friend, Felicia's birthday party with Rangrang as the dresscode. It's been a while since the last time we met, and it has always been a good time meeting old friends. And the fact that that Christmas is drawing near, doubles the joy.

Day 4: Feeling Grateful

Still can't believe it's already December 2014. So many things had happened around the year, both happy and sad. Some has made me jump over the moon and some has made me cry a pail of tears. But I appreciate every things happened that has created a stronger me for each problem I managed to get through.

I still remember vividly, a year ago around this time, I was so much excited about my Christmas trip to South Korea extended to Hong Kong with my family. And just before my departure day, I was having Italian Christmas dinner with best friends. Looking back time and looking present, I feel that my life is like a fairytale. Each of my dreams happened in front of my eyes, make me feel so blessed and grateful. 

This Christmas, although I am not going anywhere, but the heart is feeling joy and happiness. 

Life is so good to me. 

And...the best part of the day was getting this batman garskin for my token. Another trash I bought. Lol 

There's this Indonesian term saying "Yang penting happy". I couldn't agree more with this! Hahaha

Alright then. I'm going to Pasuruan tomorrow morning, so I gotta sleep earlier tonight. Bonne Nuit...Zzzzz

Day 3: Action Speaks Louder

Best thing happened today that I couldn't even believe my eyes was the fact that I am listed on the 3rd place for the office internal competition going to Barcelona, while there would only 4 out of 49 personal bankers win all over Indonesia with the points accumulated up until end of January. It means that I got the chance for this...Yayy

Early November I was still confused about everything, yet after doing things bit by bit, putting more effort for the job, everything just turned well in the end. So happy that my harwork pays off and so grateful for everything. Barcelona has been in my places to go #bucketlist, thus I wish that I would be eligible for the prize.

Day 2: December Sweetness

It's the second of December, and I still haven't felt like Christmas yet. Need to go to the mall, listen more to the Christmas songs, and decorate my table with some of Christmas ornaments, to make the joy of Christmas come to life. 

And...the best thing of the day was getting this mini jellies while I was starving waiting for my lunch. This week was my schedule for open and close branch, so I didn't get to eat my breakfast before I leave for office, therefore seeing this jellies already made me so happy.

I came accross this interesting quote just now that I think it might be worth sharing:

Day 1: Christmas is Around the Corner

My favorite month has finally come! 

December has always been the awaited festive season of the year.

And I would have100 happy days project started  today. The best part of the day was my effort at doing my best. I was running here and there just to get the job done, and it succeed. Meeting a client at the hospital after office hour and everything paid off in the end. It explains well of how hard work never fails a success. , 

And as for me, December means...

A time to shop without feeling guilty, since there's a lot of year end promotions by this time of the year. Oh how I wish I live in the States, where black friday and boxing day exist....Waaa

A time to party...Usually I'm gonna have a lot of Cristmas parties divided into a few batches. A party wearing christmas attributes, making the event become more Christmassy...

A time to contemplate things up. A lot of events had happened around the year. It's good for us to stop for a while reviewing things up, fixing things needed to be fixed, and closing the last chapter of the year with a grateful heart. 

I hope December gives a great closure, just before another chapter of life about to get started again.

Let's Do Kaizen

I believe one small step can change our life!

Aku teringat cerita temanku pada saat SMP dulu. Dia cerita kalo dulunya adalah seorang pemalas. Tidak mau belajar, tidak mau mengerjakan PR, kerjaannya main melulu kalo pulang sekolah, sampai sering dimarahi orang tuanya, tapi orang tuanya sudah tidak bisa apa-apa lagi.

Kemudian suatu hari, dia dipanggil oleh gurunya pada saat pulang sekolah. 

Gurunya mengatakan padanya:

"Hen, kamu itu pinter lho. Coba kamu belajar lebih rajin pasti kamu bisa berprestasi. Kasian lho orang tuamu susah payah cari uang untuk menyelolahkanmu, tapi kamu malas-malasan." 

Karena perkataan gurunya itu atau karena ada angin tertentu lewat, dia benar-benar tersentak hatinya hari itu. Sejak saat itu dia mengambil keputusan untuk belajar lebih rajin. And, as a result, dia menjadi salah satu teman SMP ku yang berprestasi. One of the top 3 di sekolahku dulu. Entah gimana kabar dia sekarang. I hope he's doing great! 

Surprisingly, one small decision can give dramatic changes to a person, and they will never be the same again.

Farewell November

The other day I walked around TP with my friend, and passing Victoria Secret's store. Suddenly remember that I forgot to wear my Jo Malone parfume that day, so I turned around and entered the store.

I randomly picked any parfume and sprayed it once onto my shirt. I didn't even remember what the name of the parfume was since I didn't expect much on the parfume. 

However, it came to my surprise that the scent was incredibly nice and invigorating, so I got back again to the store only to check the bottle. 

After that day, I still managed to get back again twice to the store just to get a couple of sprays onto my shirt to make sure that I really like the scent. Lol.

Now, I'm thinking to buy this 'Euy So Sexy' parfume as a Christmas gift for myself. 

They say there would be promotions on December, so I'm looking forward until December to buy it.

Angelmon Bride

I feel so lucky these days. Things happened better than expected, that makes me feel skeptical that it happened for real. Somehow when too much of good things happened into my life, I would questioning myself...."Is it for real?", "Do I deserve it?" etc...I personally not sure that all good things could come together in a row.

But then I think of a quote saying "Mama always said that life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you're gonna get". 

Yes...I believe we will never know what life might throw us into. So, I will just enjoy the ride and expecting more good things to come by. I do believe in miracles and I hope miracles believe in me too. *crossing fingers*

Tonight was my bestfriend, Linda's bridal shower. She is gonna walking down the aisle next coming wednesday. Nothing is happier than looking at your bestfriend in her total happy look. 

By the way, look at her face! It was half demon and half angel face theme painting. It was awfully painted by us that makes her look more like a cat than an angel or a demon. Lol

Anyway, I couldn't be more happy for her and so looking forward to attending her party.

Four Memorable Years

Having a nostalgic moment inside this building this afternoon. 

A building where I spent my 4 years of studying International Business Management, which is a major full of presentations, homeworks, and projects

A building where I met great lecturers and great friends, with whom I spent most of those 4 years almost together all the time, of course since there were only around 50 of us. 

A building where I used to experience many ups and downs. I remembered one time doing summary for my writing class during the 2nd semester. Having done it until 7 pages, and all of sudden my computer experienced an error and all of the data was gone in a blink. It has made me cry and staying up until 2 am in the morning to re-summarize again.

But I also remember that I love to hangout at the student lounge with the other friends, either for studying, making homework, or just for joking around with friends. 

Appaprently, so many things happened in this building, I remember more on the happy parts rather the sad parts. 

Obviously, it's a place that I will always remember. My beloved campus, Petra Christian University. :)

Good People

It's amazing to notice the differences between each and everyone we met. 

Some people tend to be very mean, selfish, hard to be understood, difficult to handle, unfriendly, untrustworthy, talk too much, easily make promises, etc.

On the other hand, it's good to know there are still good people out there. 

People who are friendly, talk less, demand less, never asking too much, understanding, and always have the intention to help.

It's rare meeting these people nowadays. Lucky me, that I am randomly surrounded by this kind of people, the ones I found during working which required me to meet a lot of people out there that somehow surprise me that these kind of people do exist. 

The world needs more of these kind of people since I believe that good people bring out the good in people too.

Happy Thursday, everyone! I have a meeting schedule at my university today. It's gonna be a nostalgic moment. Yay! :)

Yes, I Will!

I will enjoy my coffee time with friends.

I will cherish any deals in business, be it small or big.

I will enjoy the time of being lazy and just doing nothing at all. 

I will enjoy the feeling of a happy heart when I travel to a place I've never been before. A feeling of dream that comes into reality. 

I will enjoy being friends with someone who is totally different with me. I believe that each of everyone is here to teach us something.

I will remember the feeling when I try or do something new. Everyday is a new discovery.

I will forgive myself if I failed in doing something as long as I have tried my best.

Still forgiving myself for easily being 'eye hungry' buying small cute stuffs, that eventually gone into the trash. Lol

I will try to be happy even if I'm lost and don't know what to do. There will be a WAY eventually. Been into it for so many times. 

I will remember the feeling of success. a feeling that boost our confidence level  up.

But also to remember the feeling of failure too at the same time. A feeling that keeps us humble and put our feet down.

I will forgive myself for all the silly things I've done. People say that we never really grown up. There's still a child figure in everyone. Agreeable?!

I will contemplate the feeling of a broken heart. It has taught a lot of lessons that school never taught. I believe when it's not meant to, it will never be. 

I will enjoy driving the same route and doing the same things, and eating the same foods over and over again right now, for things might change in a blink and there's no more opportunity to do the same thing again.

I will enjoy laughing and giggling and sharing updates with Mom and bestfriends. 

and for now...I will just enjoying my multi tasking idle time of reading a newspaper in the middle of chatting with friends, watching 'Suits', and still managed to post this blog up. Hahahaha.

Alright then. I gotta back to Suits now.

Which Green Are You?

It's becoming most people's habit to see and feel that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. I can't deny that I somehow also belong to this group. But actually each shade is as of each person's preferences, right? We cannot compare lime green and grass green color. They both are beautiful and GREEN.

Same green, but different audience with different preferences can make different perception and judgment.

Check these several conversations about the issue:

A: I think this orange T-shirt look good on you.
B: No, I like yellow better. They suit my skin better. 

C: No, blue is the best color for this suit.

A: My hair falls easily as I get older, especially after giving birth.
B: No, your hair still look thick. It's thicker compared to mine obviously!
A: What?! Noo...tonight, I looked at your hair and feeling envious 'cos you got a lot of hair and they are thick.
B: Really? Woww...Thank you!

A: I do not feel good enough.
B: What?! I always think that you are someone who has got wide knowledge. I feel that you know about a lot of things, compared to me.
A: Really? Woww...It's the best compliment of the day. Thank you.

I believe life could be way much simpler if we just be proud of our own shades without comparing to other colors that we don't possess. We are already unique on our own. Let's just flaunt our original color and polish it regularly so that the color won't get vanished over the time. Happy preserving and be proud with our own special green-ish, the best green that we possibly can get!:)

JazzyWeekend

Been a jazzy weekend. 2 hari terakhir ini lihat Jazz Traffic Festival, yaitu acara Jazz tahunan kota Surabaya yang diadakan di Grand City Mall.

Kemarin sempat lihat Yovie&Nuno,

Dr and the Professor, Petra Sihombing, dan Tulus. Hari ini datang untuk lihat Raisa, Indra Lesmana, Dewa Budjana, Bubugiri dan Afgan. Masih banyak yang mau aku lihat sih, cuma sayang sekali udah kemaleman. I wish weekend got 3 days instead of 2, so I would have got the chance to see the performance of Barry Likumahua & Krakatau. 

Kemarin baru tau ada lagu judulnya 'Gajah', yang dinyanyikan oleh Tulus. Lama-lama didengerin enak juga nih lagu. Gosipnya si Tulus pacaran ama Raisa. Tadi liat Raisa, cantikk banget! What a perfect couple they are!

Hari ini bener-bener padat acara. Dari pagi pergi makan dimsum bersama teman lama yang mau balik ke kotanya, dilanjutkan dengan ngafe bersama saudara yang datang dari luar negeri, langsung joss nonton jazz. What a happy life I'm living. Berjuang dan berusaha di hari kerja dan berseneng-senang secara maksimal pada saat malam minggu to make work life balanced. Afterall, that's the essence of life, isn't it? 

That's it for my weekend update. Besok siap-siap bekerja kembali sambil menunggu weekend yang akan kembali lagi dengan cepat, just like a blink of an eye.

Breathing Happiness

Today had been a very busy day. Started the day at 8 am, juggling between office and meeting 3 customers, meanwhile there were still so many tasks needed to be done at the office. Such a hard day, but so thankful that everything turned good at the end of the day. 

The happiest part of the day was going to Elly's birthday party at La Rucolla. It was a small, intimate party full of laughters and jokes, only the 5 of us. It's becoming rare to meeting up with close friends nowadays, thus it is a privillage when the chance comes up. 

Today has been a good day to start the weekend. Feeling so happyy that tomorrow is saturday, a day when I don't have to set up an alarm in the morning. And not forgetting that tomorrow is Jazz Traffic day, a yearly Jazz show in town featuring many wellknown musician accross the cities. yippiee \^^/ I breathe happiness!

I always believe that miracles do exist. And miracles can happen from many sources of conductor. It can come from a layer or even multiple layers. I also believe in what so called blessings in disguise because I just believe that everything happens for a reason, just like the red string of fate, which always connect us to events, which make thing happens the way they should happen.

I always thank Buddha to all the good things that already happened to me, is happening to me, and will happen to me. I hope to always have a thankful heart and a humble attitude, always.

I feel that I am truly blessed, thus I wish that I can become a blessing to others too in return. Sadhu...Sadhu...Sadhu...

Blessed Tuesday

Heyloh! Back to me again...It's been a happy tuesday. The fuel price hikes up yet surprisingly the JCI bullish to almost 1% (0.96%). Meaning there would be profit gained after this. Looking forward for JCI to continuing bullish. :)

Today got another blessings. Whenever there's hope, there's a way, as long as we keep on trying and moving, and keep on having faith in mind. Everyday is always been a new beginning and we will never know what a day can brings. It's all depends on us on how we facing this life. I wish to always facing life positively. 

And by the way today I just get a new information about the symbols on a toothpaste tube. 

See the back of your toothpaste tube, on below part there would be a small rectangle varies into 4 colors. Here's the meaning of each color:

-Green  : Natural

-Blue.   : Natural and medical

-Red     : Natural and chemical

-Black  : Chemical

The best one should be the green one, but rarely has the market got this. I personally using the black color, but I will be more selective in choosing my next toothpaste right after this.

Oh No!

Hii guys! How was your monday? 

Mine was good. Aku merasa sangat produktif hari ini. Sempat ke kantor polisi, makan siang keluar bersama teman, dan pergi melayat sebentar, but overall it wasn't a wasted monday. 

Big news for today! Setelah tertunda sekian lama, karena Presiden kita yang mengikuti konferensi ke mancanegara, akhirnya kenaikan BBM diumumkan juga oleh Presiden Jokowi sendiri. Kenaikan ini efektif per tanggal 18 November 2014.

Premium naik menjadi Rp.8.500,- dan solar naik menjadi Rp.7.500,-. Wah untung banget tadi sudah sempat isi bensin full hihihi. 

Barusan ada nasabah yang message, tanya apa yang harus dilakukan dengan portfolio nya karena BBM naik dan apa dampaknya. 

Well...in my opinion this is what's gonna happen when the petrol goes up:

1.Inflasi naik. 

Harga barang-barang bakalan lebih mahal nih. 

2.Suku bunga naik

Dampak inflasi adalah suku bunga yang turut menyesuaikan dengan tingkat kenaikan inflasi. Suku bunga pinjaman bank terkena imbasnya.

3.Harga obligasi turun

Harga obligasi berbanding terbalik dengan tingkat suku bunga. Kalo suku bunga naik, harga obligasi turun, and vice versa. Karena jika suku bunga naik, otomatis bonds market might appear to be less favorable.

4.Performa Emiten

Kemerosotan performa emiten yang terkait seperti misalnya yang bergerak di bidang transportasi, property, perbankan, perusahaan semen, etc. 

Banyak sekali yah dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan secara langsung.

Tetapi sebenarnya dampak kenaikan BBM ini bersifat sementara soalnya secara umum kenaikan BBM lebih banyak positif daripada negatifnya in the long run. 

Beberapa point positif yang paling nyata adalah:

1.APBN

Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja negara bakalan membaik. Karena pemerintah mengurangi subsidi BBM, sehingga dapat dianggarkan ke bidang lainnya yang lebih membutuhkan dan dengan demikian juga mengurangi hutang negara. 

2.Fiskal negara 

Pendapatan negara otomatis meningkat dengan adanya pengurangan subsidi.

In the long run, fundamental ekonomi pun bakal membaik dan diharapkan inflasi rendah dan stabil, sesuai dengan cita-cita negara yang merencanakan tingkat inflasi di level 3.5% by 2019. 

Wishing all the best for my beloved country! For now, I'm gonna have a good rest to face  tomorrow's challenges.

Dreamy Balloon

Just watched 'Big Hero6' a couple days ago. I am so much inspired with Baymax figure, the balloon guy which is designed to detect any slight hurts in human being, which eventually becoming Hiro's partner with the other 4 friends to do a revenge upon Hiro's brother death. 

I would like to have a balloon buddy, just like Baymax. A figure who can solve all my problems, with whom I just can talk about everything, and a buddy I would hang out with and becoming the centre of attention anytime I walk with him. Lol! I know it's just a silly wish, but maybe Disney could capture this as a big opportunity, as I believe many of us would like to have Baymax in each of their houses. Anyone agrees with me on this?!

Anyway...how have you been doing? 

My weekend was great. Hangout with friends and feeling so tired as soon as I got home thus I didn't feel like blogging yesterday. 

Today was also a good day. Self indulgement day! My friend's parents brought me and family Nasi Welly from Sidoarjo and brought it to Atom. Been a while didn't eat it and today I happen to eat it again. Tasted so good. It has made my day. Thank you #exbabembuah :)

Beberapa tahun belakangan ini, yang namanya baby shower, visiting newborn baby, attending kids birthday party, mulai menjadi acara rutin dalam social calenderku.

Oleh karena itu, aku mulai akrab dengan yang namanya emas. Karena kado yang paling sering diberikan adalah perhiasan emas. Selain pilihan modelnya banyak dan lucu-lucu, emas juga bisa dipakai sehari-hari, dan yang paling penting adalah karena emas bisa dijual sewaktu-waktu.

And so it comes to my surprise, karena pergerakan harga emas di pasaran sangatlah fluktuatif.
Kira-kira 2 bulan yang lalu, harga emas sekitar 300 ribuan, baru-baru ini menjadi 400 ribuan. Banyak banget yah naiknya, padahal cuma dalam hitungan bulan saja.

Akupun berusaha mencari tahu, apa saja faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pergerakan harga emas.
And here's the result of my research:

Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pergerakan harga emas adalah sebagai berikut:

1.Kenaikan inflasi
Jika inflasi melebihi dari yg diperkirakan, harga emas naik (biasanya berbanding terbalik dengan kurs)

2.Kepanikan finansial
Kalo ada kepanikan financial spt krisis tahun 1998 & 2008, publik lebih suka berinvestasi di emas.

3. Kenaikan harga minyak
Biasanya kenaikan harga minyak juga mempengaruhi kenaikan harga emas.

4. Permintaan terhadap emas naik.
Sesuai dengan hukum supply and demand.

5.Kondisi politik dunia
Jika politik memanas, publik lbh suka berinvestasi di emas, karena kurs biasanya menjadi fluktuatif.

Teorinya adalah membeli pada saat harga murah, but when it comes to buying a present, meskipun harganya mahal pun, terpaksa kita beli.

Kalo untuk berinvestasi, lebih baik kita membeli dalam bentuk LM (logam mulia dalam bentuk koin) dibandingkan dalam bentuk perhiasan. Karena LM lebih likuid dan harganya pun mengikuti harga pasar.

I wish to collect a massive quantity of LM and to sell them when the gold market price hikes. A millionaire in the making I am....

F: Inget lah. Abu-abu kayak Ibu2 PNS warnane. Come on lah Sil ga ada seng protes tah?

Me: Ya apa lagi. Tuntutan pekerjaan.

F: Bilango pimpinanmu ada nasabah protes keras.

Me: Lol

Yes, today I wore an ugly uniform meeting a few of my high school buddies. A happy me in a terrible outfit. Definitely a good day to remember. :)

Something Elephaney

Today's been another mundane day. The highlight of the day was just the presents from my customer who just got back from the US, and I just get myself a new book, The Miracle of Endorphin, by Dr.Shigeo Haruyama. Lately really into reading health books. 

And...another good thing is that I just found a bracelet in the drawer, which has almost been forgotten for a while. It is a bracelet made from the tail hair of elephants. 

For centuries, African mythology has believed that the elephant forms connection betweeen heaven and earth. Thus, whoever wears this bracelet will be blessed with love, health, prosperity, and progress. 

Shall I believe it or not? 

Hmm...I guess since I have it, then I should believe it. It feels good to believe in good things. :)
