Yesterday went to food bazaar, Tjap Toenjoengan located at East Coast area. The bazaar serves all traditional foods from various cities in Indonesia.
There were several foods sounds strange to me, such as cimol, cireng, kue cubit. Just like their name, yes they are all west java traditional foods. I bought them all. The only food I like was this kue cubit.
It took me 1.5 hour just to queue for this small snack.
And this is the preliminary conversation between me and the mas seller:
Mas : Udah pernah cobain kue cubit mba?
Me : Ngga pernah mas. Kenapa?
Mas : Cobain mba, kata orang2 rasanya nagih!
Me : Ahh jelas aja kan masnya yg jual
Mas. : Tapi beneran lho banyak yg bilang
Me : (lol)
I think it tasted nice, a little bit similar to pukis, only this came in smaller size, a size of a hand pinch. This is why they are called "kue cubit". However it doesn't taste as nagih just like he said. Ckckck Lol

Late 'Black Day'
There is a tradition celebrated widely in South Korea for the singles, every year on April 14 to eat Jajangmyeon, which is known as Black Day.
So, February 14 is the Valentine's day, when women shows their love by giving chocolates to men, and March 14, is the White Day, when the men returning the love back by giving candies for the women.
So, for those singles who don't get the chance to do this all, they have Black Day, the day when the singles flock together to eat Jajangmyeon. There is a myth, when a couple eating Jajangmyeon together, then they will break the jinx upon them. There's also an extreme case, that people wear black outfit on this day, ready to mourn for the day and they drink black coffee right after eating the black noodle.
Well, last Thursday, I celebrated this Jajangmyeon day not because I mourned for being single, but it was merely just for fun. I just got to know this thing from a friend of mine, EH, and thanks to Mr.Google for telling me the background stories of this Jajangmyeon day. It was one fun and yummy celebration Jajangmyeon day. ^^

Birthday Haircut
I just had my birthday haircut at The Parlour Surabaya. It's been a long time since I cut my hair short, and now I'm getting back to the old style, only this time with the longer bangs. And the fact that it's my birth month, I got a 50% discount. Apparently not only are stuffs got discount, but salon too.
My hair feels lighter right now and I feel fresher with the short hair. It just feels great! :)

I Fall For Pandora
Trust me...birthday becomes less exciting when it comes to 30+ y.o birthday. I don't even think about presents or cakes that I might get, nor thinking much about the birthday celebrations that I might hold. It was so much different compared with what I used to feel when I was still below 30 y.o.
Although it is less exciting now, for me birthday is still one of the happiest moments in May. It is the day when I receive many greetings and blessings, the time when I can get my birthday cake, and if I'm lucky enough, it would also be the day when I receive many of my favourite stuffs.
Thinking all of this, Yes! I think I'm lucky enough this year. I get 2 new charms from my friends.
Started collecting Pandora since last December, I am addicted to It and wishing to add some more charms to my bracelet. My friends knew it, and bought me this. How thoughtful they have been, right?!
I am lucky enough to have such good friends. Thinking all over again, I started to believe that I am a very lucky girl. The one who used to wish for so many things, and the one who was patiently waiting for those things to happen in the near time, but was still no idea when to happen yet, so being patient was the only thing to hold onto that time.
Until one period of time, all of the things I wished for, happened exactly in front of my eyes, each of them. They even exceeded my expectations.
I still need a few things to come into my life right now, however theres a saying that "Things will fall into the right places, when the time is right." Yes, I strongly believe in this. It happened to me for so many times, so I believe there are still a lot more to come my way. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu. ^^

Sleepy Thursday
It's been 4 days I have a duty of opening and closing office branch, so I have to get up really early this week. Today is especially harder, as yesterday I tried Calisthenics for the first time, an exercise which is definitely not my cup of tea. I have pain all over my arms and legs. I think I have to bear for a few days to recover this.
I just opened the branch a few moment ago, and now sitting at the nearest convenient store only to buy a cup of coffee, and trying to write something on this blog.
Well...My birthday last sunday was a birthday well spent with parents. Starting this week, I received a few gifs and surprises . There was a cake coming anonymously. I am still wondering the person sending me the cake. Can't believe that I still have a secret admirer. Lol!
Also receiving a few of London stuffs. Yes, right now I am in the middle of racing up a national competition, with the reward of going to London, just like the competition to Barcelona I already made. What a thoughtful gift!
I really wish that I could win this competition since London has been in my bucket list for so longgg. However, the fact that it is a long race that will only be ended up in November, rather scares me. I hope I can maintain up my focus, energy, and luck up until November.
Sadhu...Sadhu...Sadhu...
Alright then, I get to get back to the office right now and get the day started all over again.
Have a great Thursday, peeps! ^^

Bring It All Back
It was my first experience doing flash mob.
The team building activity took place at Placa de Catalunya, Barcelona.
We were divided into 3 teams, which each of the team was doing different movement, that were eventually combined in the middle of the field, and shaped a heart followed with S Club 7 song, "Bring It All Back".
Such a meaningful song, that I just got to know on the spot.
I, now, sometimes humming on this song out of nothing. Listen it up! :)
Bring It All Back - S Club 7
Don't stop, never give up
Hold your head high and reach the top
Let the world see what you have got
Bring it all back to you
Hold on to what you try to be, your individuality
When the world is on your shoulders
Just smile and let it go
When people try to put you down
Just walk on by don't turn around
You only have to answer to yourself
Don't you know it's true what they say
That life it ain't easy
But your time's coming around
So don't you stop tryin'

Thank you Life of 31
Dear Life,
Thank you for all the ups and downs in 31.
For giving me good moments and teaching me precious experiences. Life is still good and sweet, despite all the bad moments occurred.
I believe there are no coincidences in life. Everything happened is either for the goodness or for me to learn something out of it.
Please give me more happy moments and teach me a lot more as I plan to embark higher in 32.
Teach me, guide me, and bless me. Always.
Thank you.

A Box of Miracles
I am a big fan of Forrest Gump, and there's a quote in it that I always remember. "Life is like a box of chocolate. You will never know what you're gonna get".
For those who knows me since a long time ago, will certainly know that I am not someone who likes a job with the target. In my earlier time during job interviews, I had been offered a job as a marketing for so many times, yet I never accepted the job just simply because I don't like marketing and I do not believe that I can persuade someone to buy my products, and I don't believe that I have a talent to sell something. Thinking about it over again, I think the mere reason was because I did not have high level of confidence in myself and that I was not willing to do it.
Years gone by, and I happened to work in bank with many roles as back office staff, customer service, assistant RM, and currently as RM. Even already got the chance being a RM, I never totally believe in my ability. I remember during my first day working as RM, it felt like that I had taken the worst decision ever. I didn't think that I will survive. I told a colleague about this and I remembered he said "Don't think too much. Just go with the flow and things will be alright." I subscribed to the idea and just hang onto the job.
Surprisingly I survived for already 2 years by now although it can't be denied that I live into hesitation every month. A hesitation that I might not achieve the target.
There's a time that I didn't really productive during that period, and I almost gave up on the job. However, I pushed myself to be still. I took a deep breath and tried to identify each of the clients. During this critical time, a hope had risen. Finding a hope, I kept on working as hard as possible, since there's a regional competition with the trip to Barcelona as the reward, which enables us to meet Citibankers from other 6 countries; Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, China. I didn't expect much to win the competition, since it was a national contest and only 4 persons in my level got the tickets. However, I kept on working and trying. Just hoping for the best.
Miracles did occur step by step, that I could not believe myself. Unbelievable yet it happened. Those accumulated miracles had lead me to get the first position in the competition, and made me be the top personal banker for Indonesia.
I was feeling so touched to get the prize. It's one of the miracles that ever happened to me. It's like that I got a big box of creme de la creme chocolate.
Getting a prize for a job I almost gave up on to. Such a serendipity. A pleasant surprise. Life is full of small surprises, accumulated.
I am looking forward for another big box of sweet chocolates. Another serendipities. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu...
