Army Day

Last friday, there was an appreciation day with the army look theme as the dress code in my office.

I just got to know that appreciation day was a day to appreciate whoever we would like to give appreciation to by writing the name and the message we would like to deliver to in a piece of appreciation card to later on be posted on a big board by the committees. Continued by playing games and having dinner to close the event.

So there we started, as soon as the office hour ended we dressed ourselves in army look style!

After getting myself done, I headed to the venue, a minute later, I was surprised looking at the big board that I got 2 appreciation from 2 colleagues, since I didn't think that my name would appear on the board. One of the message was also nominated as the best message given, but it didn't win the prize.

Reading to it had created a big grin on my face.
The message was anonym, so I had no idea who had written it. But, whoever they are I just want to thank them for making my day and let them know that it has been an honor to be appreciated. Thank youuu ♥

Happy Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
It's not like in the States where people celebrate their tradition to commemorate the military victory or thanking for their harvest season by having a family gathering dinner with turkey and other lavish dishes, I was having an ordinary dinner instead of having those foods, but the feeling of joy and happiness is there. I think it's the feeling that makes today truly a Thanksgiving day.

While lying on my bed and listening to David Foster's 'St.Elmo', all of a sudden I remember that someone once told me that we will never know the value of something or someone until we lose them.
When we have something in our hands, we tend to disregard it as if we can live with or without it. But when we lose it, we just realize how valuable it is and sometimes it's just too late to manage it back, although sometimes there's still an opportunity to obtain it back.
I hope that I will never take something for granted, so that I will never regret it once I am about to losing it.

Just about a minute ago, I heard a good news that I've been waiting for.
I will update you guys later.
For now, I am about to sleep. It's been a long night I've been through
So glad that tomorrow is the TGIF that I've been waiting for. I'm sure it's gonna be a good day. *crossing fingers*

Curhat Si Bocah Ajaib

Guys, pernahkah lo menginginkan sesuatu barang atau kondisi yang berada diluar kemampuan lo?

Dimana saat itu lo benar-benar membayangkan dan memimpikan hal itu, sampai suatu saat eloe sadar bahwa hal itu tidak mungkin, lo mulai berhenti memikirkannya dan mulai beralih ke hal-hal yang realistis?

Dan pernahkah suatu saat disaat yang tidak terduga, tidak ada angin dan tidak ada hujan, apalagi gledek, bayangan mimpi lo diatas benar-benar kejadian?

Dan disaat itu, lo bakal flash back dan berpikir "Lho, ini kan yang gue bayangkan beberapa taon lalu. Kok bisa yah sekarang kejadian? Apa gue mimpi yahh? *sambil cubitt pipi atau lemak ditubuh*

Sering nggaa hal ini kejadian pada diri lo?

Kalo gue sih beberapa kali ngalamin kejadian seperti itu.
Keinginan gue yang terpendam dari jaman gue masih bau kencur dan ingusan bertaon-taon lalu sudah bener-bener kejadian di dunia nyata gue. Bahkan keinginan gue disaat gue udah ngga bau kencur lagi, alias gua udah berbadan gede gini juga sering menjadi kenyataan.

Gue sempat berpikir kalo gue wonder kid yang selalu beruntung. Apa yang gue inginkan ngga langsung terjadi secara instan, tetapi pada suatu saat yang tidak disangka-sangka semua itu terjadi begitu saja, bahkan saat itu kita tidak sadar bahwa kita sempat memimpikannya.

Well...then I remember what uncle Paulo Coelho said..

Dia bilang kalo saat kita menginginkan sesuatu, seluruh alam berkonspirasi untuk mewujudkannya. Entah bagaimana hubungannya, energi PD, semangat optimisme dan kekuatan sugesti nampaknya cukup mampu menggerakkan elemen-elemen alam hingga semuanya menjadi tampak memungkinkan.

Make sense banget sih pendapat si uncle.

Tetapi, bagaimanapun, gue tetap berpikir kalo gue adalah anak ajaib, dan akan selalu menjadi anak ajaib yang beruntung yang senantiasa percaya akan mimpi.
Mimpi akan segala sesuatu yang bisa dimimpikan, hingga suatu saat menjadi kenyataan.

I keep on humming this song along the day...It's been my favorite Christmas song for all these years.
Listening to this song brings certain joy to the heart, especially when it is accompanied by drinking jackfruit juice in my Christmas mug and wearing my snowman printed pajamas just like now. They are the little joys that bring so much bliss to the island anyway.

Just a few days ago I was wishing my colleague to have a baby dragon soon, yesterday I heard a good news from him that he just discovered that his wife is on her 4th week pregnancy.
Indeed a very good news for him and for us, the blak2an family as well.
Finally one of his biggest wishes come true, and I can't be more happy for him. Once again, good thing comes to those who waits, isn't it? Congratulations, bro! :)

Look at the second picture of the first row. The girl in a stunning wedding gown! Yes! That's my buddy, Febby! Pretty, isn't she?

Well...I was so happy attending her wedding today. Besides happy that she finally found her soulmate, I was also happy that I met my hi-school buddies there. It has always been a great time to meet and greet with them, especially nowadays we all get packed schedule that disallow us to meet regularly, thus it's indeed becoming very precious to spending time with them.

Anyway and anyhow, I'm wishing Eddy and Febby an endless happiness for their marriage life.

What's in a date? As for me it means a lot since just now I think that I was having a great day, spending it with my lovely buddies in a wonderful wedding event at a remarkable venue, and most importantly on a perfect date. 20.11.2011!

The other day I was visiting a prestigious Chinese restaurant, dressing up prettily with my other pretty buddies.

While waiting to be served, a waitress in her cheongsam suddenly coming toward us and serving us fortune cookies!

I took one of the fortune cookies and grabbed the paper. It was written: "Sunshine follows wherever you go". It was indeed a cheering up words that suddenly boosted up my mood for the day. It sounds weird yet so real that I found it somehow true.
Is it just a coincidence or is it that fortune cookies mystically true?

Anyway, then we were having a big yummy lunch afterward. :D

Another update is about Ms.D is having a new little pal called Yume. It's small, hairy, soft, and so cute. Yes! It's a hamster. I'm so looking forward to seeing Yume soon.

Life is good, isn't it ? ;)

Earlybird Christmas

Highlights for the day:

-Christmas is coming to Starbucks. It's still early Nov, but the spirit is already there. I am starting to collect 25 stamps to get 2012 planner. 2 down, 23 more to go! :)

-Weddings are everywhere. I get enough of wedding invitations this month. There's a time when enough is enough, and this is it! :)

-My Periplus member card is finally arrived. Yayyy! ^^

-There's a friend of mine in a condition of standing on a line between giving up and seeing how much more she can take. I am wishing her all the best in making up her mind to get the best decision.

-Someone told me sharing is caring. But do you think the law of reciprocality should be imposed here? I think that sharing should be done in sincerity basis without any hidden purpose and intention in return. What you think of it, guys?

-It's already 12pm, and tomorrow is Monday. I hope tomorrow I'm gonna look beautiful although the fact that I won't get my 8-hours beauty sleep. *crossing fingers*

The other day I was being asked to translate this true confession from a girlfriend of mine that is going to tie the knot very soon.

Here the story goes:

"I finally found my dream guy, following the path of the other lucky girls.

Single ladies always have their criterias for their soulmates. Good looking, smart, tall, blah blahh blahh.
All of the TV dramas & love songs even make us dreaming of our happy ending romance life. Somehow love comes in a strange way.
The more it has been awaited, the further it becomes, while the less we put it into a thought, the nearer it comes & all of a sudden the guy that we have been awaited come & catches our attention.

That was how it all happened to me.
It began from the introduction of a mutual friend
I found him someone with a good sense of humor, very patient, & fully committed for our precious relationship.

I personally think that relationship is like travel a long journey, full of challenges & joy.
During the journey, we stumbled so many times but at the end of the journey, looking back the roads we have traveled, it was all worth it...
After all, life is sweet & full of mysteries.
C'est la belle vie!

We used to share so many stories back then, & I'm kinda missing those time of so many togetherness with her.

At the moment I just can't wait for her walking down the aisle very soon.

Puzzles

I just had a long conversation with a bestie of mine.

He said he is having an eye for someone at the time being, but he is not sure whether the feeling he has is true or not, as he is not sure how it feels to fall in love.

Well, I just got to discover that this friend of mine happen to be so romantic as well.
I guess that people tend to be romantic when they fall in love, don't you think so?

Afterall, I am hoping that he can make a thoughtful decisions & solve the puzzles very soon, so that I have the chance to congratulate him in the near future. :)

A colleague of mine just been promoted to a higher level today.
Finally her wish comes true after been through all the uncertainties.
The maxim of good thing comes to those who waits is finally proven.
I'm just so happy for her! :D

Sweet November

It's 11.30 pm and I feel so hungryyy....Is there somebody out there willing to buy me foods, pleaseee??!

I just decided to go downstairs & get a glass of apple juice.
A happy tummy makes a good night sleep.

Well..today is the 1st day of November. How was your day, guys?

Mine was just great! In the evening hanging out with my girlfriend, Pauline. So happy that we finally met & sharing stories just like the good old days.

A year ago, I was excited of being her bridesmaid. Today, I am excited of her pregnancy. A year to come, I think I would be excited of carrying her baby.
Life is always full of different excitements to carry over, isn't it?

Few days ago, a friend of mine happily told me that she got revenues without even putting any efforts at all.
She said that when it's time for us to get something, it will easily come to us without any hassles & buzzles.
However, when the time is not yet to come, things will just floating on, even though we have put so much efforts in obtaining them.

Moral of the story is to asking us to lay back & relax, as things will just work out by itself..
Am I summarizing it right or not? Well, I have no idea, but let's just assuming it right, then! :D

Obviously, a glass of juice doesn't make my tummy happy. So, I think I'll get going to lalaland now so that my hungry tummy won't bother me any longer.

I Scream for Ice Cream

I was stumbled upon this ad, & I found it interesting.

"Life is like an ice cream, you have to lick it one day at a time".

I wonder is it true that our life is like an ice cream? Well, I mean ice cream is sweet & bright, while our life can sometimes be bitter & gloomy as well.

But then, I came to a conclusion, that whatever & however a day brings, there's always something sweet & bright to enjoy. You just need to take a look a little closer & detail.
& you'll find out that joy is never absent to visit! :)
